from Casablanca to Tierra del Fuego

Follow the trade winds on the route traversed by the early explorers, who traced this path across the Atlantic Ocean throughout the centuries in their quest for discovery, founding colonial towns that exist to this day. On this expansive journey, set sail from enchanting Casablanca and embrace your inner explorer as you cross the Atlantic to Patagonia, at the southern tip of South America. En route, discover natural and cultural wonders that explorers have treasured for centuries, including the rarely visited volcanic archipelago of the Cape Verde Islands, with their remarkable fusion of Portuguese and West African traditions.

Throughout the voyage, a team of onboard experts will offer a series of lectures and workshops to enhance your travel experience. You will have the opportunity to:

* Enjoy lectures and discussions with Dennis Reinhartz, an expert in transatlantic history, and Norman Hyne, geologist and oceanographer.
* Bring your musical instrument and participate in an onboard “orchestra”, led by pianist and performer Bill Messenger, who will also lecture on topics relating to different types of music.
* Attend a travel writing workshop, taught by Hilary Bradt and Janice Booth of Bradt Travel Guides.
* Take your photography to the next level, through group and one-on-one tutorials with photographer Chris Corradino.
